In 2023, about 7 thousand lanterns should be replaced

In Vinnytsia, utility workers replaced 5,084 outdated street lamp bulbs with new energy-saving LED lamps.

Improving street lighting will help reduce energy consumption and improve safety for traffic and pedestrian traffic, reports Vinnytsia City Council.

It is noted that the lighting has already been replaced on the following streets:

  • Polytechnic;
  • A. First Called;
  • Podolsk;
  • L. Lukyanenko;
  • 600th anniversary;
  • Komarova;
  • G. Yury;
  • Station station;
  • Hetman Mazepa;
  • Princes Koriatovych;
  • I. Bohun;
  • Danylo Halytskyi;
  • Tram;
  • L. Ratushna and others.

The report emphasized that by the end of 2023, the city plans to replace the lamps in about 7,000 lanterns.

"After last year's shelling of Ukraine's critical infrastructure, the need to implement energy-saving measures has increased significantly. LED lights fully meet these requirements, because their main advantage is energy efficiency and a longer service life compared to old lamps," said Roman Furman, director of the city economy department.
