Residents of the village will be provided with drinking and technical water

In Ternopil region, after an enemy shelling of an infrastructure facility on the night of March 12, hazardous substances entered the river in the Kremenets community.

Residents of the village of Sapaniv were urged not to use water from wells, especially those located 100 meters from the river, the head of the Kremenets community, Andriy Smaglyuk, wrote on Facebook.

He said that a fire broke out at the facility as a result of an enemy attack by the Shahedis. It was extinguished by a rescuer. However, the concentration of pollutants in the air does not exceed the permissible limits. No one was killed or injured in the attack.

"There is leakage and pollution of our river. According to the recommendation of experts, people were forbidden to use water. This especially applies to the residents of the village of Sapaniv, which is located near the river," Smaglyuk said.

He said that drinking water will be delivered to the residents of the village thanks to the help of the Ternopil regional administration and the Red Cross society.

"All people will be provided with technical and drinking water," Smaglyuk stressed, urging residents not to publish information about enemy attacks on the Internet.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Kharkiv started replacing the soil contaminated with oil products after the enemy shelling of the oil depot on February 9. The shelling of the oil depot resulted in about 3,000 tons of oil products entering the environment, including the river.
