The capacity of all domestic SPPs in the region reached 29.5 MW

In the Rivne region, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the growth of alternative energy capacities has reached 24.4%.

During this time, 210 families have switched to green energy, reports Rivnenski news.

"After last year's attacks on energy infrastructure, we saw all the weaknesses. Conclusion – we need diversification. "Alternative energy provides an opportunity not only to survive during power outages, but also to make money," the article says.

It is noted that more than a thousand households in the region have installed solar panels for their own needs and sell electricity at a green tariff. The total capacity of such stations is 29.5 MW.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Rivne region, the Kostopil glassworks factory built its own solar power plant with a capacity of 2 MW. This is the first enterprise in Ukraine that uses green energy for the production of glass. In one month, thanks to her work, she was able to reduce the company's emissions by 98 tons of CO2.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv, in the yard of a high-rise building in Poznyaki, the owner of a Tesla Model S has set up a charging station with solar panels and a wind generator.
