In the soil, the maximum allowable concentrations of petroleum products were exceeded by 43 times and oils by 23 times

Eco-inspectors calculated UAH 23.3 million in damages to the environment from the shelling by Russian troops of the Foxtrot warehouse in the village of Gorenka, Buchansky district, Kyiv region.

The shelling in the spring of 2022 caused a large-scale fire, littering and contamination of land resources with petroleum products and oils, the State Inspectorate of the Capital District reports on Facebook.

The article noted that more than 4,000 tons of toxic substances, including nitrogen dioxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and heavy metals, entered the air of Kyiv Oblast due to the fire. The total amount of damage to the air amounted to 7.3 million hryvnias.

Eco-inspectors also took soil samples for instrumental and laboratory research. They found exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations of petroleum products by 43 times and oils by 23 times.

This caused losses of 16 million hryvnias to Ukrainian lands.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Brovary, Kyiv region, at a meeting of the commission on technological and ecological safety and emergency situations, the necessary measures for the site were discussed disposal of 19 thousand m3 of products food of animal origin.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, eco-inspectors in Kharkiv calculated 3.18 billion hryvnias in damages the environment from shelling by Russian troops of the park named after Gorky, which happened on August 9, 2022.
