Railroad loggers issued fictitious documents about the use of equipment, write-off of fuel and movement of cargo

In the Kharkiv Region, a group of 10 Ukrzaliznytsia employees was exposed, who illegally cut down trees and sold them, as well as used the company's equipment and fuel.

Only in August-October 2023, they caused losses of more than 1 million hryvnias, reports the press service of Ukrazaliznytsia.

It is noted that illegal logging was discovered thanks to the joint work of the police and Ukrzaliznytsia. The destroyed forest is the property of the company. The organizer of the group was the head of one of the structural subdivisions of the regional branch "Prydniprovska railway".

"Members of the group used transport, equipment and other resources of the enterprise. At the same time, fictitious documents were drawn up about the use of equipment, fuel write-off, cargo movement, etc., the press service emphasized.

The report said that the actions of the railway loggers show signs of a criminal offense, namely abuse of power or official position (Article 364 of the Criminal Code).

The press service emphasized the company's zero tolerance for any violations or acts of corruption

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kyiv, the court decided to collect 10.2 million hryvnias from the division of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" for land pollution. Part of the territory of the "Darnytsia" locomotive depot was littered with slag industrial waste.
