Violating enterprises were offered to voluntarily compensate for damages

In Kharkiv region The water supply and sewerage utility department of the Lyubotna City Council also pumped out without special permission 483.2 thousand m3 of water from artesian wells, KP "VODA ESKHARA" – 386.17 thousand m3.

Damages from such activities amounted to more than 1.64 million hryvnias, the State Environmental Inspection in the Kharkiv region reports on Facebook.

The message emphasized that business entities are required to obtain a permit for special water use and subsoil use.

It is noted that eco-inspectors offered the offending enterprises to voluntarily compensate for damages.

"The inspectorate reminds officials and citizens that permits are an important tool for managing natural resources, protecting the environment and ensuring sustainable development, so it is necessary to strictly comply with their requirements and conditions," the press service of the State Inspectorate emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Poltava region, the court obliged the utility company "Vodokanal Plus" from the city of Kobelyaka to compensate about 1.1 million UAH in damages. For two years, the company pumped water from underground water wells without a special permit.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers on July 11 approved the Procedure for accounting for artesian wells. The document establishes uniform rules for the functioning of the Register of wells and legally fixes the concept of "artesian well".
