The Ministry of Environment will discuss the translated NDTM with the public

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has published new translated guidance documents on best available technologies and management practices (BTMs) for glass and ceramics production.

This is part of the reform of reduction and control of industrial pollution, the Ministry of Environment reports on Facebook.

BTM will help launch eco-modernization and restoration of domestic industry. It will also allow national producers to enter European markets.

The message emphasized that the documents are already available on the website of the Ministry:

The press service said that the Ministry of Environment will discuss the translated BTM with representatives of industry, the public, the scientific community, authorities and other interested parties. The date and place of the discussion will be announced later.

The message emphasized that one of Ukraine's obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU is the implementation of Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of November 24, 2010 "On industrial emissions" (integrated pollution prevention and control). The conclusions of BTM are the basis for establishing maximum permissible emissions and issuing permits for installations.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources has published new translated reference documents on the best available technologies and management methods (BTM) for non-ferrous and ferrous steel industry.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in December 2022, the Ministry of the Environment published the first reference documents from BTM on the production of iron and steel, cement, lime and magnesium oxide, as well as on energy efficiency.
