The attacker planned to sell sand to private individuals

In the Kyiv region, the prosecutor's office submitted to the court an indictment against a resident of the Buchan district for illegal sand mining.

The man illegally extracted 240 m3 of minerals, the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reports on Facebook.

The press service of the regional prosecutor's office said that the violation occurred in September 2022 in Buchansk district. The pre-trial investigation established that the perpetrator did not have a special permission to use the subsoil, and the sand was mined with the help of special equipment by washing in the Buchan district. The attacker planned to sell sand to private individuals.

The message stated that the man will be tried on the fact of illegal extraction of minerals of national importance (Part 2, Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the Buchansk district police department of the National Police Department in the Kyiv region.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kyiv the prosecutor's office notified two citizens of suspicion of illegal activity sand mining for 2.3 million UAH. They are suspected of illegal mining on a large scale, committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, excavations were carried out in Kyiv pit with an area of ​​1000 m2 in the landscape reserve "Urochyshche Tserkovshchyna" in the Holosiiv district, which caused damage in the amount of 155.5 thousand hryvnias.
