Modernization was carried out thanks to city co-financing programs, namely "70/30%" and "Kapremonty"

Residents of Kyiv who have carried out energy-efficient modernization of their high-rise buildings have reduced their heating bills by 20-40% compared to residents of similar buildings without such repairs.
In January, one of the record holders was a building at 17-A Anatoliy Petrytsky Street, whose residents paid 17 UAH per m2 for heating, which is 42% less than the average cost, the Kyiv City State Administration reported on Facebook.
The report emphasized that another leader in energy efficiency with lower heating costs was a house at 11-A Urlivska Street. Its residents paid an average of UAH 20.45 per m2 for heating, which is 31% less than the average cost.
It is noted that the modernization was carried out thanks to city co-financing programs, namely:

  • "70/30%" competition – 70% – funds from the city budget, 30% – own funds of the condominium;
  • "Capremonty" programs.

The press service said that on the website teplo.org.ua you can compare your own house with a more energy-efficient one by entering the desired address in the search. The comparison is made automatically.

"This resource also allows you to check how much heat your high-rise building consumes, what the cost of heating is and that affects the amount of charges", said the KMDA.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said that in 2024 one of the main priorities of the government will be energy independence, in particular the development of "smart grids", continued decentralization of the energy system, financing of energy efficiency projects and the Green Course.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Petro Panteleev, Deputy Chairman of the KMDA, said that Kyiv will receive €1 million for energy-efficient projects, in particular in kindergartens, schools and hospitals.
