On Friday, June 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Oleksiy Kuzmenkov to the post of head of the State Agency of Water Resources.

About this in his telegram channel said the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of the Goverment Taras Melnichuk.

What is known about the new head of the State Agency of Water

Kuzmenkov Alexey Aleksandrovich was born on April 3, 1981 in Zhytomyr.

In 2006 he graduated from the University of Economics and Law "KROK" with a degree in Jurisprudence, qualification - a lawyer. In 2014 he graduated from the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the Lviv Commercial Academy with a degree in Accounting and Audit, qualification - a specialist in accounting and audit.

For a long time he worked at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. Then he was the coordinator of the working group on the restoration and development of irrigation systems of the International Technical Assistance Project "Agricultural and Rural Development Support Program in Ukraine".

In 2020, by order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 3, 2020 No. 609-r, he was appointed Chairman of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine.

On June 10, 2020, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine (Government Decree No. 640-r dated June 10, 2020).

On the twenty first of July 2021 he was appointed Acting Head of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine (Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 21, 2021 No. 810-r).

We add that the government also appointed Latysh Natalia Sergeevna as the first deputy head of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine and Gopchak Igor Vasilyevich as deputy chairman of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, June 14, Minister of Environmental Protection Ruslan Strilets presented a new management team to the staff of the State Water Agency.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Environment drew attention to the importance of forming a strategic work plan for the war and reconstruction period and the European integration of the water sector.

"The war has made its adjustments in the work of water management. Today you face many tasks and challenges that you could not even think of until February 24. Nevertheless, I am confident that the new leadership together with the team of watermen will overcome everything and fulfill all the president's goals. and the Prime Minister before the Ministry of Environment and the State Water Agency," Strilets said.
