The project was implemented for the money of the community

In the Poltava region, in the Hradizh settlement community, in the Svyatilivskaya school, electric heating was installed, namely, air-to-air heat pumps.

This will help to quadruple heating costs, which reached more than UAH 1.9 million in the 2022-2023 season, the head of the community, Miroslav Nosa, reports on Facebook.

He said that 84 children study at this school, but it is the most expensive for the community. Thus, during the heating period of 2022-2023, more than 1.6 million hryvnias were spent on the purchase of coal, 103,000 hryvnias on the purchase of firewood, 78,000 hryvnias on electricity, and 128,000 hryvnias on wages.

Nosa noted that more than 450 students study at the Gradizh Gymnasium, and its building is four times larger. However, heating costs amounted to 1.4 million hryvnia.

"Therefore, we decided to install electric heating in Svyatilovka with air-to-air heat pumps," he explained.

The head of the community said that 28 Tosot inverter heat pumps were installed on the premises of the school and garden. The cost of equipment reached 1.188 million, installation – 69.8 thousand, electrical wiring – 195 thousand. The project was implemented at the expense of the community.

“The expected result is heat in classrooms/rooms and a 4-fold reduction in heating costs for this school. For insurance, the heating main from the boiler house to the school will be replaced,” Nosa said.

Recall that in Kryvyi Rih, a project was launched to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings, within the framework of which in-depth energy efficiency measures.

As EcoPolicy reported earlier, a project to insulate and improve the energy efficiency of 39 kindergartens and schools has begun in Ternopil. This will increase the service life of buildings by at least 30 years and reduce annual carbon emissions by 300 tons.
