The community will only pay for the installation of the SES

The Chortkiv community from Ternopil Oblast will receive 700 charitable donations solar panels from the Swiss company Helion.

Rooftop and ground SPPs will generate green energy for communal institutions, informs Chortkiv City Council.

"Swiss donors have agreed to provide us with another large batch, which includes 700 panels. They are ready to be sent, they are in Switzerland. The only issue is logistics, we asked that the logistics be free for us," said the acting director of KP "Agency" of local economic development" Oleksandr Karpenko.

He added that the installation of the SPP will be carried out at the expense of the city or public utilities, where the power plants will be installed.

The message emphasized that this is not the first similar project from Helion for the community. So, in April, a 21 kW power plant with 56 solar panels was installed on the roof of the dental clinic. During half a year of operation, the power plant saved more than 115 thousand hryvnias for the hospital.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in August 2022, in Ternopil, the first Solar energy system SmartFlower, which looks like a sunflower and is capable of intelligently tracking the sun, producing up to 40% more energy, was opened in Ukraine.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Ivano-Frankivsk region in Dolyna, the first communal solar power plant with batteries was installed on the roof of the "Teremok" kindergarten.
