So far, he is the only member of the former environmental ministry's management team who has been promoted to the newly created agency.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved former Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Yegor Perelygin as Deputy Minister in the newly created Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.

This was announced by government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on Telegram.

Yegor Perelygin worked at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for just over three months. He was appointed fifth deputy minister to Svitlana Grynychuk on April 15.

The official has extensive experience in management, but none in the field of environmental protection. EcoPolitic provided more details about his professional experience in this article.

Yegor Perelygin is an expert in the field of critical minerals. He periodically lectures on global supply chains in the field of critical minerals and promotes the reindustrialization and strategic positioning of Ukraine on various platforms and during international events.

At the Ministry of Environment, Perelygin dealt with issues of subsoil, strategic planning, eco-taxes, deregulation, and eco-education.

The government dismissed three other deputies of Hrynchuk — Viktoria Kireeva, Oleksandr Semenets, and Serhiy Vlasenko — on July 25. Nothing is known yet about their appointment to new positions.

There is also no official information regarding the personnel status of another deputy from the Ministry of Environment, Olga Yukhymchuk. There are no public reports of her dismissal or new appointment. According to insider information from EcoPolitics, she is being considered for the position of deputy minister of economy, environment, and agriculture of Ukraine under Oleksiy Sobolev in the area of environmental protection. She will likely work in this sector alongside Yegor Perelygin.

We would like to remind you that on July 21, despite numerous warnings from experts and the environmental community, the Cabinet of Ministers abolished the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

EcoPolitic reported in April on how Minister of Environmental Protection Svitlana Grynychuk changed the team of the previous head of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ruslan Strilets.
