Particular attention was paid to the need to implement energy-efficient measures

The Subcommittee on Energy Security of the Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities held a round table discussion on the priority steps for solving the long-term problems of the fuel and energy complex.

All participants agreed that as long as there is a surplus (surplus) of electricity in the Ukrainian energy system, it is necessary to cancel the ban on its export to the EU, reports the Committee on Energy and Utilities on Facebook.

It is noted that Ukraine's income from the export of surplus electricity is extremely necessary for the restoration of the energy system after enemy attacks.

The event was attended by people's deputies, the leadership of the Ministry of Energy, NAEC Energoatom, PJSC Centerenergo, DTEK Energo, PJSC Donbasenergo, JSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Ukrenergo, representatives of the donor international community and the public expert environment.

The report emphasized that the participants of the round table drew attention to the need to implement energy-efficient measures and urgently fill gas storage facilities, using the capabilities of the European Joint Platform.

Head of the Energy Committee Andrii Gerus emphasized that in the near future it is important for Ukraine to:

  • ensure the functioning of the competitive electricity market and its integration into the European energy markets;
  • take care of incentives for investments in the Ukrainian energy industry.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the state enterprise Guaranteed Buyer has developed proposals for changes to the law on the electricity market, which will allow the export of green electricity to the EU.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, former Minister of Energy Oleksiy Orzhel said that Ukraine could start exporting electricity during surplus daytime hours, when the amount of solar generation is the greatest.
