Ten-year-old Ostap from Shepetovka (Khmelnytsky region) used his savings of $300 to purchase a portable solar-powered charger for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The noble act of the little Ukrainian was told in the Air Command "West" of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on facebook page.

According to Ostap, these are all his savings, which he collected to support the defenders of Ukraine.

“He himself wanted to commit such an act,” the young man’s mother Natalya shared. “He came up to me and said that all the money that was given to him for his birthday, carols and holidays, we use to buy a bulletproof vest. The military needs it, it will save someone’s life. They protect us."

However, the woman added that there was not enough money to buy a bulletproof vest, so they decided to buy a portable charger, which was handed over to Shepetov's anti-aircraft gunners.

The act of a ten-year-old Ukrainian pretty touched the military. "He could have bought himself a toy or a rover, but he gave it to us," they said.

“We are happy, because real patriots of Ukraine are being brought up now. Everything will definitely be fine thanks to children like Ostap,” the soldiers are sure.

Before EcoPolicy reported that students and teachers of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology of the Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka established production of solar panels for the Armed Forces of Ukraine .
