In Ukraine, during the week of August 12-18, violators of environmental protection legislation caused damage to the environment in the amount of 10.7 million hryvnias and paid 469 thousand hryvnias to the state budget in a voluntary and compulsory manner.
Eco-inspectors conducted 46 environmental protection measures and drew up 119 protocols on administrative violations, reports State Inspection on Telegram.
The most high-profile violations were recorded:
- on the territory of the Kamian Reservoir of the Dnipro River, Poltava Region, where a fisherman caught 4.7 million hryvnias using prohibited fishing gear;
- on the territory of Shirokivska of Zaporizhzhya region, illegal demolition (damage to the point of growth cessation) of 42 trees by citizens without documents for the special use of forest (plant) resources in the field protection forest strip was detected. This caused losses in the amount of more than 588 thousand hryvnias;
- on the territory of Ketrysanivska village council, Kirovohrad region, felling of trees by unidentified persons was found, which caused damages in the amount of 1.3 million hryvnias.
Case materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies.
In addition, the eco-inspectors of the Capital District calculated the damages and presented a claim to Fastivske Hlibopriymalne enterprise in the amount of more than 2 million hryvnias for emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere without the appropriate permit.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine during the week from August 5 to 11, 2022, violators of environmental legislation paid to the state budget more than 4 mln UAH.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the courts in the Kyiv region forced three enterprises to pay 343.8 thousand to the state budget UAH for violation of environmental legislation.
