Cash assistance can be spent on the purchase of equipment

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a grant program of up to UAH 8 million for those who already have a business in the field of processing or want to launch new projects.

It was reported by government portal following a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on June 24.

"This week, the government has already approved documents for launching the eRobota program and announced three grant programs to support its own business. Today, we are launching three more programs that also aim to create new jobs, increase Ukrainian incomes and develop our economy." said Shmygal.

Among them is a program of non-refundable grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises. According to the prime minister, these may be enterprises in the field of woodworking, furniture production, metalworking, agricultural processing, production of building materials, etc.

Terms of the grant

The money received can be spent on the purchase of equipment. The main requirements for recipients: the creation of at least 25 new jobs and payment of taxes.

Grant applicants must submit a working idea, a clear business plan and raise their own funds for their work. For the first applicants, the condition for co-financing is an own contribution of 30%. They will also have additional opportunities to obtain an affordable loan under the "5-7-9" program in the amount of up to 16 million hryvnias.

Before EcoPolitics reported that the Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals (UAVtormet) and the Austrian company Dobrowa Metalltechnik GmbH have signed an agreement on the exchange of experience in order to implement technologies in Ukraine processing and utilization of military scrap.
