Law enforcement agencies are establishing the circumstances of the incident

On the territory of the Nizhnednistrovsky National Natural Park, near the village of Nadlimanskoye, Odessa region, a fire occurred that caused environmental damage of more than 890 million UAH and left hundreds of storks, pheasants and roe deer without places of their usual existence.

This was reported in the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District.

The fire occurred on the territory adjacent to the object of the nature reserve fund, but due to the moderate northeast wind, the fire spread to the park in the area of the ecosystem "Whisper of the swim." Firefighters, police and park workers have been taming the fire for almost 9 hours.

In total, about 400 hectares of the protected area burned out. According to preliminary estimates of eco-inspectors, the damage caused to natural complexes and objects of the park is more than 7 million UAH. Experts also calculated the amount of damage caused by atmospheric pollution – an impressive 886 million UAH.

The video of the fire, in which the birds and animals of the Nizhny Dniester National Park are now forced to live, was published by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region. The fire fighters signed it as follows:

"Today, as a result of the fire of natural ecosystems in Odesa region, hundreds of storks, pheasants and roe deer were left without their homes. PEOPLE! You destroy all living things! Your irresponsible actions are causing irreparable damage to the Ukrainian land!!!

At the end of Mayб EcoPolitic told that in the Kharkiv region 14 forest fires are raging , most of which were caused by Russian shelling.
