The Student Volunteer Headquarters of Lviv Polytechnic National University calls on everyone to join in the making of trench candles.
A member of the movement and a graduate student at Lviv Polytechnic, Serhiy Melnykov, posted this on Facebook.
"The cold season has begun and there is an urgent need for trench candles for boys and girls at the front," the volunteer emphasized.
He also said that the center needs an electric stove to melt paraffin on it.
On the headquarter's website it is noted that volunteers are also engaged in:
- organization, sorting and shipment of humanitarian aid to displaced people in Lviv and cities suffering from the aggressor;
- additional staffing of the military;
- weaving camouflage nets;
- sewing sleeping bags, production of turnstiles.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wroe, that eco-activists called on Kharkiv residents to upcycle metal cans and corrugated cardboard for the production of trench candles. After all with the onset of the cold season, trench candles are becoming more and more important for soldiers.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the public organization "Ukraine without garbage" joined the "Zigry" project from Made in Ukraine and started collection of yarn for the manufacture of warm clothes for soldiers at the front. The "Zigry" movement united more than 2,340 Ukrainian women and men, who have already produced more than 23,300 knitted items.
