Didukh agreed to pay a fine of 42,500 hryvnias for receiving a bribe

Volodymyr Didukh, the deputy director of the Department of Ecology, was dismissed from the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration.

He was released by agreement of the parties, says the order of the first deputy head of the OVA Serhiy Tyurin.

Didukh held the position of head of the Department of Environmental Protection, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Use of Natural Resources of the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology of Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration.

In the order, Tyurin instructed the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology to conduct appropriate calculations with Didukh.

In November 2022 Didukh provided the representative of the company "Podillia-Teplo-Invest" with a limited list of institutions where it is possible to produce project and permit documentation for obtaining a permit. She turned to PE "Evante", one of the companies on the list, which demanded 50 thousand hryvnias for the development of documents, namely 5 thousand hryvnias to be transferred to the company's account, and the rest to be given in cash.

At the end of March, the representative handed over UAH 20,000, and already on April 13, the manager of "Evante" handed over UAH 6,000 from this amount to Didukh. The next day after that, permits for emissions of pollutants were signed.

During the investigation, Didukh entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor, which was approved by the court, and he agreed to pay a fine of 42,500 hryvnias. The court also decided to annul the decision to remove the official from his post.

The police suspect the head of the Department of Ecology, Hanna Bogdanovych, in the corruption scheme, who categorically rejects all accusations. The director of the company, whom the police consider to be an intermediary, was also suspected in this case. The investigation of these cases is still ongoing.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the police revealed the corruption scheme of an official from the KMDA, who systematically demanded bribes for the issuance of permits for the emission of polluting substances into the atmospheric air and other permit documents.
