Similar benches damaged by vandals were never repaired

In Uzhgorod, 8 benches equipped with solar panels were installed on Postova Square.

Thanks to the built-in USB ports, you can charge phones and other gadgets from the benches, reports the Uzhhorod City Council on Facebook.

"We ask residents of Uzhhorod and guests of the city to be careful with community property," the city council stressed.

The message said that the benches were purchased thanks to the project "Joint measures to prevent natural disasters in the transboundary basin of the Uzh River" under the "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020" cross-border cooperation program.

It is worth noting that in the discussion of the post, the townspeople supported such an initiative. However, people fear that vandals may damage the new benches.

"So that they don't gut everything again," wrote user Erika Kulis.

Users also recalled that similar benches with solar batteries near one of the schools and a pedestrian bridge were never repaired.

Users also criticized the city council for creating conditions for the gathering of people near the department, which can be dangerous in wartime.

We remind you that three benches with solar panels with USB ports were installed in Khmelnytskyi on the territory of the higher vocational school No. 25.

As EcoPolitics previously reported, Slovakia can expand business activity in Transcarpathia, in particular in the field of development of wind energy.
