The resolution "Issues of providing services for the removal of household waste" is no longer valid

On Friday, August 25, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Procedure for conducting a competition for the collection and transportation of household waste.

The resolution is part of the requirements of Law No. 2320-IX "On Waste Management", reports government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram.

He said that the Procedure defines the procedure for preparing and conducting a competition for identifying business entities to carry out operations for the collection and transportation of household waste. It will be carried out in accordance with the rules of improvement of the settlement, regional and local waste management plans in the relevant territory of the territorial community on the territorial principle and/or by types of household waste.

Melnychuk added that the government also recognized the resolution of the CMU dated 11/16/2011 No. 1173 "Issue of providing services for the removal of household waste" as having lost its validity.

Remind, The Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the Procedure for submitting waste declarations, which will strengthen control over the generation and movement of waste.

As previously reported by EcoPolitics, Ukrainian entrepreneurs were urged to prepare for the changes brought about by Law No. 2320-IX "On Waste Management", in particular, to carry out several preliminary stages.
