Currently, the garbage situation in Kharkiv is better than it was before the full-scale invasion

Kharkiv eco-activist Artem Prykhodko rated cleanliness at "5+". Embankment and Strilka park in the center of the city.

On the Facebook page, he said that he was surprised by the cleanliness, because the activist planned to pick up garbage during his morning run.

He said that at that time everything was cleaned on the Embankment, the bins were in normal condition, not overflowing, and there were garbage bags everywhere. There was no litter, even in places where there had been accumulations before.

Prykhodko emphasized that the situation with garbage is currently better than it was before the full-scale invasion.

"I want to thank every worker who takes care of cleanliness in Kharkiv, as well as citizens who support and appreciate this cleanliness. Remaining human and watching over your city is very important during the war," he wrote.

An eco-activist named the unsatisfactory state of trees after crowning, i.e. tree cuttings to the very trunk, among the disadvantages of the city. Only some of them were able to shoot.

"If there was a correct attitude towards trees, there would be no questions about the state of this part of Kharkiv at all. So there is work to be done. The main thing is that the management hears and realizes the mistakes regarding the treatment of trees and gives the command not to do this again," he emphasized.

Earleir, EcoPolitic wrote, that Kharkiv residents were urged to report spontaneous landfills near the private sector, in areas free of buildings and green areas of the city.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Kharkiv on the embankment the crowns of 18 out of 19 trees were completely cut off, turning them into trunks. After such care, trees die in a few years.
