In Zaporizhzhia, after the Russians blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP, water disappeared from the Dnipro Reservoir in the area of the Dniprovskaya HPP.

The bottom of the reservoir is almost completely covered with islands on which people walk, reports the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak in Telegram.

"It is impossible not to notice this. You can't be silent about it either. Because silence and lack of punishment for terrorists is a crime against current and future generations, he wrote. – Russia will answer, their generation will pay for everything and this will become a lesson for the entire Russian nation."

In August 1941, the Soviet military blew up the DniproGES dam to stop the advance of German troops.

The Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration reported that as of Monday, July 3, the water level in the lower reservoir of the Dnipro HPP in the region is 12.14 meters, which is 2.36 meters below the norm. Drinking water is supplied as usual without interruptions. Its quality meets the standards. In addition, the water level in the Zaporizhzhya NPP cooling pond is within the permissible limits.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP in Zaporizhzhya, the Dnipro river has become shallow. Sand islands can already be seen near the Dnipro HPP, and the river is littered with dead fish.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Zaporizhzhia, eco-activists removed 8 cubic meters of garbage from the washed-up shoreline of the Dnipro River on the island of Khortytsi.
