Thanks to SES, residents will be provided with heat and hot water even in conditions of power outages

In Kyiv, residents of the "Khudozhnyk" condominium installed solar panels on the roof of a high-rise building as part of the "70/30" city co-financing program.

The cost of installing the SPP and other energy-efficient works reached 2.5 million hryvnias, KMDA reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the SES will be able to fully ensure the operation of elevators and other building systems in the summer.kyivcity.gov.ua

"This is not the first time that the residents of the building have participated in the city program of co-financing of energy-efficient works "70/30". Here, the individual heating unit (ITP) was repaired, energy-saving windows and doors were installed in common areas, the facade was insulated, three hybrid inverters of 10 kW were installed and 30 kW battery", said Petro Panteleev, Deputy Chairman of the KMDA.

He explained that this equipment can be charged either from the mains or from solar panels. The ITP can operate fully autonomously from batteries for up to 48 hours, and with lighting of common areas and exterior - 24 hours.

The press service emphasized that SES is a backup source of electricity, in particular for ITP equipment. Therefore, residents will be provided with heat and hot water even in the event of a power outage.

It is noted that the program pays 70% of the amount of energy-efficient works, and 30% is collected and invested by residents. It applies to condominiums and condominiums.kyivcity.gov.ua

Panteleev emphasized that each such building is an example of improving energy security. And each of these examples, together with others, forms a city-wide and state-wide system of resistance to an aggressor who is trying to destroy energy facilities.

"We plan to scale up such projects, and spread the experience to as many housing communities as possible. Residential buildings, not only new ones, but those that are already decades old, can be energy efficient. The costs of energy carriers, as well as the costs of communal services, can be gradually reduced," he said.

The press service noted that more than 1,000 energy-efficient projects have already been implemented in Kyiv, thanks to which residents already pay significantly less for communal services.

As EcoPolitic reported before, in Kyiv, residents of condominiums and condominiums can until the end of February submit an application for participation in the competition for energy-efficient projects in residential buildings.
