Ukraine is able to replace dirty russian energy resources

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that Ukraine can and will definitely become a green energy hub for Europe.

It happened at a meeting with big business leaders during the opening of the New York Stock Exchange, reports online representation of the President of Ukraine.

He emphasized that the European energy market vitally needs such a player as Ukraine, because the export of electricity to the EU has already begun.

"This is a very important factor – that it happened during the war. We export, but the scale of cooperation can be hundreds of times greater. Imagine what this profit is for each participant in the energy business," Zelenskyi said.

He also noted that Ukraine is capable of replacing dirty russian energy resources, because it has a significant natural potential for establishing capacities in renewable energy and in the production of green hydrogen.

"This is a potential of at least tens, and realistically, hundreds of gigawatts of green electric power," added the President of Ukraine.

In addition, he said that the placement of production in Ukraine, in particular metallurgical, pharmaceutical, machine-building, etc., will have significant advantages that other countries will not be able to provide alongside the European Union market.

"Any company that will be able to put the Made in Ukraine label on its product will automatically become part of the history of Ukrainian courage and victory," Zelenskyi added.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi called on French entrepreneurs to cooperate in hydrogen and green energy.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the EU promised take the lead role in the green reconstruction of Ukraine after the war.
