According to the entrepreneur, jobs in non-environmental companies have become less prestigious

Microsoft founder Bill Gates believes that people with a high level of intelligence should build a career in companies whose work is not harmful to the climate.

This conviction was voiced by an American businessman during a speech at the TechCrunch Climate Session, reports CNBC .

According to the billionaire, high salaries in financial institutions on Wall Street attract talented and ambitious young people. But these jobs have become "far less prestigious than before", giving environmentally conscious employers the potential benefit of attracting the best professionals.

According to Gates, his own investment fund to promote Breakthrough Energy's climate initiatives owes much of its success to young people with strong ideas, high IQs, and a desire to work on something that doesn't just maximize their income.

As reported EcoPolitics before, Ukrainian startups , which develop environmentally friendly projects, can apply to participate in the international competition of "green" business ideas ClimateLaunchpad.

It will also be recalled that in 2021, Bill Gates announced intention to invest $ 2 billion in startups and projects to help fight climate change.
