The algorithm for receiving the service will now be as convenient as possible

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution "Some issues of filing a waste declaration", according to which the relevant document can be submitted in full in the mode of peopleless and paperless.

The press service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine announced this decision of the government on Tuesday, May 10.

With this document, the Cabinet of Ministers abolishes the complicated and outdated way of reporting business in paper form and generally removes officials from this process.

"In wartime, government policy is aimed at supporting everyone. The government is working to reduce the financial and administrative burden on entrepreneurs, accumulating all the tools to support the economy now and a speedy post-war recovery. Full automation of the process of reporting to small and medium-sized businesses on the generated waste is exactly that,” said the head of the Ministry of Environment Ruslan Strilets.

According to the Minister, it is important for the authorities that entrepreneurs can work effectively, and not run around offices or post offices, spend time on paperwork and paperwork, wait for answers and prove to officials that the documents are drawn up correctly.

The algorithm for obtaining the service will now be as convenient as possible:

  • information about the applicant will be automatically checked and retrieved from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Associations;
  • it will be impossible to make a technical error while filling out the form. The program will check the data and point out inaccuracies in the calculations;
  • the official will not take part in the verification of declarations and their registration, and thus potential manipulations, administrative pressure and corruption risks are reduced to "zero";
  • the registration period will be reduced from five days of waiting to several hours (it will all depend on how quickly the applicant fills out the form);
  • if all the information is entered correctly, the declaration will automatically appear in the register and the applicant will receive a notification.

According to a government decree, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Finance must resolve all technical issues by July 1 and ensure the functioning of the relevant service.

Before EcoPolitica reported that on April 26 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a number of important decisions in the field of environment – from comprehensive environmental monitoring to strengthening the country's chemical security and further digitization of environmental services.
