71 fires were recorded during the day

In Ukraine on Tuesday, August 16, the indicators of the radiation background do not exceed the radiation safety standards of Ukraine (NRBU-97) and do not pose a threat to the life and health of the population.

This is stated in the infographic "State of the Environment of Ukraine" of the public organization Savednipro on Telegram.

Radiation

At permissible value of the radiation background level is 300 nSv/h, in Odesa this indicator reached 114 nSv/h, in Dnipro and Lviv – 105 nSv/h, in Kharkiv – 97 nSv/h, and in Kyiv – 88 nSv/h.

Air

Velikiy Dalnyk in the Odesa region became the dirtiest village in terms of the level of contamination with the dangerous fraction of PM 2.5 dust, where the indicator reached AQI 68. The cleanest settlement was the village of Bilogorodka of the Buchanskyi district in the Kyiv region.

Such cities as Dnipro and Odesa have an average level of air pollution (51), and in Kyiv, Lviv and Kharkiv the air quality is characterized as good.

Fires

In Ukraine, 71 fires were recorded, according to the Firms satellite system, which is 9 fewer than the previous day, in particular:

  • 23 in Donetsk region (15 less);
  • 20 in Zaporizhzhia region (by 9 more);
  • 12 in Luhansk region (by 4 less).
