All forest users will use rules with uniform requirements for the protection and conservation of forests to preserve them in a climate crisis

The Government of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for the organization of forest protection, which contains clear rules for the protection of forests from fires, illegal logging, damage, weakening and other harmful effects, as well as protection against pests and diseases.

This document is mandatory for all forest users, according to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine on Facebook.

The material noted that the new procedure will allow the use of modern methods and means of extinguishing forest fires. It also provides for mandatory training in forest protection and forest fire fighting.

The head of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strelets explained that earlier Ukrainian legislation did not set clear requirements for forest protection, fire prevention measures, monitoring of forests and timely detection of pests and diseases in the forest. This could lead to forest degradation and large fires.

"From now on, all forest users will use only these rules in their work, with uniform requirements for the protection and preservation of forests to preserve them in a climate crisis," he added.

We will remind, in Ukraine for three weeks of the "Green Country" landed 65.8 million trees.

As EcoPoliticа reported earlier, Ukrainian women want the woodworking industry attract more shopping partners with the EU.
