In Ukraine, on Monday, January 30, the first stage of exchanging 5 old incandescent lamps for energy-efficient LED lamps in Ukrposhta branches started.

Lamps can be exchanged in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Kryvyi Rih and in all regional centers, except for the occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, Simferopol and the city of Sevastopol, the Ministry of Economy reports in Telegram.

It is noted that during the second stage, it will be possible to exchange lamps in district centers, and by the end of the month - in villages. The exchange can be carried out with or without a prior order in the Diya application.

The message emphasized that only working light bulbs can be exchanged. Any adult Ukrainian can do this only once. If a lamp turns out to be defective, it can be exchanged at a Ukrposhta branch.

The press service said that you can get lamps with two types base, namely E27 (27 mm x 27 mm) and E14 (14 mm x 26 mm). To exchange, you must have a passport and a tax number.

You can order the desired type in the "Diya" application, or get available lamps in the department. Pre-ordered lamps will be waiting for their owners within 5 working days.

The press service emphasized that the replacement replacing old lamps with energy-saving ones will reduce energy consumption at times of peak load on the Ukrainian power system by 7-10%.

The program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ukrposhta with the support of the European Union.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Ukraine, beta testing of the free exchange of 5 old incandescent lamps for energy-saving LED lamps in Ukrposhta branches began on January 16. At the first stage, it was planned to replace 500,000 lamps in six regions.
