Ukrainian green teams will compete with startups from 53 countries

Ukrainian startups developing environmentally friendly projects can apply to participate in the international competition of green business ideas ClimateLaunchpad.

This year the competition will be held in Ukraine for the eighth time. Ukrainian eco-startups can apply for participation in the national selection until June 20. To do this, you need to fill out registration form.

It is noted that the participants of the national selection will go through several days of intensive training, during which they will prepare for the national final.

The winners of the Ukrainian national final will share their ideas at the regional and global stages of the ClimateLaunchpad competition.

Sixteen teams that will reach its final stage — the global final — will be able to participate in the acceleration program ClimateLaunchpad.

The best ideas presented at the global finals will receive a cash prize. The three winners of the global final will receive 10,000, 5,000 and 2,500 euros, respectively, for the further development of the presented project.

This year, Ukrainian teams will compete with startups from 53 countries in the following areas:

Sustainable Mobility — business ideas that catalyze the transition to sustainable mobility using clean energy

Circular Economis — projects based on the principles of recovery and rational use of resources

Urban Solutions — solutions for communities that transform urban environments into decarbonized ecological spaces

Clean Energy — energy storage, smart grids, integration of energy sources, capture and reduction of CO2 emissions, energy efficiency

Food Systems — projects that promote the transition to climate-friendly food production

Adaptation & Resilience — products or services that enhance adaptability and the ability to respond to climate change

Betsu Etsonomy — ideas that benefit the economy and society without harming the oceans and coastal areas (tourism, shipping, energy and minerals, fisheries and aquaculture, etc.)

The Necht Big Ting — innovations with the potential for global climate impact.

Reference. ClimateLaunchpad is an international competition organized annually by the European Climate Innovation Initiative Climate-KIC with the support of the EU. Since 2016, his national selection has been held in Ukraine as well.

Before EcoPolitics wrote that six Ukrainian companies working in the field of climate innovation received € 240,000 for the development of their projects.
