The State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, in the wake of the military camp, has completed the development of a register of guarantees for the use of biomethane.

This registry, having become the first in Ukraine, the registry of guarantees for the promotion of energy efficiency, improves Facebook's energy efficiency.

The press service explained that the registry should be allowed to the companies and biomethane savers to take on a new guarantee and certificate of travel, as well as to register contributions to the gas transmission or gas distribution system. It is also possible to allow the formation of a guarantee for the release of biomethane, its transfer, cancellation or cancellation.

It is scheduled that the presentation to the registry of biomethane for potential candidates and other candidates for the registry will be on September 23, 2023.

The message emphasized that the introduction of such a register is provided for by the Law of Ukraine "On the development of biomethane production" and Government Resolution No. 823 "On approval of the procedure for the operation of the biomethane register".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine in 2022, a legislative basis was created for the development of biomethane production, which is a promising alternative to natural gas.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, on August 2, the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and communal services, adopted a resolution "On amendments to the Code of the gas transportation system and the Code of gas distribution systems." This will allow supplying biomethane to the network.
