People rushed to install solar panels before the end of government subsidies

Sunrun Inc, USA, plans to install solar panels on homes in 2023 with a total capacity of 1 GW, which is similar to the capacity of a nuclear power plant.

About a quarter of the planned capacity has already been installed during the first three months of the year, according to Bloomberg.

It is noted that the company's customers were in a hurry to install solar panels before the deadline for the provision of state ones. subsidies for solar energy.

Bloomberg added that the company posted higher-than-expected sales in the first quarter. Now people will have to wait six months for new installations.

From 2023, all California developers are required to install solar panels and batteries in new commercial buildings and some apartment buildings. This could save up to $1.5 billion in consumer spending and reduce CO2 emissions by 1 million metric tons over 30 years.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the German company for the supply of solar modules Green Akku has launched the production of vertical mini solar power plants for garden fences and other hedges. The panels will be able to generate energy even in winter when the light intensity is lower and are able to generate the maximum amount of energy in the morning and evening.
