The Chernihiv Charitable Foundation "Saber" transferred mobile solar power plants for the APU unit. Similar panels, as in these SES, are used on spacecraft, and the manufacturer gives them more than 30 years of warranty.
This is told by "Public. Chernihiv. "
According to the head of the Saber CF, Alexander Petrenko, the panels of the American corporation SunPower, which they purchased for defenders, were created using the world's best technology.
Mobile miniSPP provide autonomous work of the workshop for the repair of electrical equipment and computer diagnostics of military models of equipment. In addition, they help our military to remain unnoticed, because the generator in the combat zone is too noisy and generates heat, which is captured by drones with thermal imagers.
"And this is unacceptable. But solar panels are a way out. Because he stopped, hid somewhere a little behind some tree, but so that the shadow did not fall on the solar panel, the car is not visible," says the serviceman of the Armed Forces Viktor Demydyuk.
The power of such SPP is 400 W. Solar panels ensure uninterrupted operation of the workshop during the day. And at night, when there is no sun, the protectors work from the battery charged by the panels. The guys say that it is basically enough for the whole night.
In addition to the panels fixed on the bush, the volunteers provided the military with a mobile SPP, which is compactly mounted on a trailer, and when a large power is needed, it is also disassembled. The SPP on the trailer adds another 3 kW.
According to Oleksandr Petrenko, mobile miniSPPs cost about $4,000, and a trailer with panels – $10,000. They were collected thanks to international partners, donors and Ukrainian companies.
As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Sumy SPP provides city water supply during blackouts.
