20 composters were purchased with grant money, and 16 with funds from the environmental protection city budget

In the Lutsk community, four heat-saving propylene composters with a volume of 1,800 liters were installed in all schools.

The head of the city ecology department Oksana Lysak said that there are 37 schools in the community, and containers were installed in 36. After all, the evening school refused to participate in the project because it was too small.

She noted that 20 composters were purchased with grant money. Reshtu, 16, for nature protection funds from the city budget. They were worth 77 thousand hryvnias.

Director of Lyceum No. 22, Larisa Kucher, said that the institution has been composting organic matter for two years. However, previously homemade wooden structures were used. Compost at school is used to feed trees and flowers.

"Recently, we cut down dangerous trees that could pose a threat. We cut them down, and we processed the branches, and we will lay down these branches accordingly. The branches will be laid on the bottom, then we will rake the leaves and clean the flower beds," said teacher Nataliya Mosyuk, who coordinates composting process.

Lysak added that in 2022, composters will be installed in all community kindergartens.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Volyn in Horohivska hromada in 10 schools and kindergartens containers for sorting garbage were installed.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Lutsk at the composting station a crop of greens, as well as cucumbers and tomatoes was grown.
