Sorting containers will later be installed at other state and communal enterprises

In Lutsk, waste sorting sites were set up on the territory of the state and two communal enterprises.

Now employees and visitors of "Lutskspetskomuntrans", the housing and communal services department, and the State Environmental Inspection can sort plastic, glass, paper, metal, as well as batteries, accumulators and mercury-containing materials, reports Suspilne.

The head of the city project "Clean Lutsk" Serhiy Mikhalevich said that the sites are equipped with informational banners. Containers are filled in about a week.

"There are responsible persons who monitor the occupancy. As they fill up, they bring sorted garbage to us by car, and we already put it in one or another container, accumulate it, and then give it for recycling," he said.

In the material, it was said that the employees of "Lutskspecskomuntrans" began to systematically sort garbage after the appearance of containers.

"Our employees use them, throw them away, and sort the waste. In the same way, some customers who come also use them," said Vitaliy Kalyuga, an employee of Lutskspecial Communtrans.

It is noted that sorting containers will later be installed at other state and communal enterprises in order to encourage Luchanians to sort waste more and more.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Lutsk at the composting station they grew the third crop of greens and they are preparing to collect the first cucumbers and tomatoes.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Khmelnytskyi, employees and visitors of communal enterprises and institutions began to sort garbage in institutions.
