In September, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources will hold four public hearings on environmental impact assessment (EIA) via video conference.
Such changes are provided for by the updated Law 3227-IX "On Environmental Impact Assessment", which entered into force on July 29, the department's Facebook page says.
It is noted that from July 31, in the announcement of the start of public discussion of the report on the ATS, the business entity must state:
- date and time of public hearings;
- a link to join the video conference (such a link is created by the relevant authorized body).

Recall, On July 13, the Verkhovna Rada voted in the second reading for draft law No. 8410 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Environmental Impact Assessment", which in particular shortens the duration of the ATS procedure from 216 to 67 days.
As previously reported by EcoPolitics, the new Law No. 3227-IX "On Environmental Impact Assessment" entered into force in Ukraine on July 29, due to which, from July 31, the public discussion of the report with EIA will take place under new rules.
