People assumed that the mother was killed

In Transcarpathia, workers of the Uzhan National Nature Park boasted about rescuing a small bear on the outskirts of the village of Domashin. Social network users were interested in the question why the bear was without its mother.

Currently, the cub has been transferred to the care of specialists of the Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center of the Synevyr National Park, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources reports on Facebook.

The executive director of the public organization "Ekodiya" Natalia Gozak drew attention to how such a small cub was able to get close to people.

Users emphasized that the bear was in trouble, because these animals do not leave their cubs while they are small.

"And those who deprived his family have already been found? For some reason, this part of history is modestly silenced. There were two of them, we need to look for another bear," wrote Alla Kovtun.

The press service said that they have a bear deliver to one of the European centers for the rehabilitation of small bear cubs. After that, it will be returned to the wild at the place of forced removal. The Greek non-governmental organization ΑΡΚΤΟΥΡΟΣ - ARCTUROS has previously given consent to the rehabilitation of the bear.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, brown bears woke up from hibernation in January 2023 in Ivano-Frankivsk region in the Verkhovynskyi National Nature Park due to an abnormally warm winter.
