The first cherry blossoms and magnolias bloomed in Kyiv, which will last for about two weeks.
The trees decorate parks and squares in every district of the city, as well as the Academician Fomin Botanical Garden and the National Botanical Garden named after Hryshka, the KMDA reports.
The report emphasized that there are about 240 species of plants of the magnolia family in the world. Each of them has a unique appearance and unique flowers that differ in shape, structure, texture, color, location on the branches.

The report emphasized that the longest avenue of these trees in Ukraine was planted in Kyiv – on Verkhovna Rada Boulevard, 1,402 m long (240 plants).
"In Japan, there is a ritual of hanami – admiring cherry blossoms, which symbolize the transience and fragility of life: people live as a petal falls, quickly and beautifully," the press service said.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the spring of 2022, communal workers planted almost 250 trees and more than 350 bushes in Kyiv.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Kyiv community called on the city council to prevent the construction of a parking lot and the entry of cars into the territory of the Natalka park in the Obolonskyi district.
