Near Zhytomyr, forest rangers detained a violator who threw paper waste into the Bohunsky forest.

Garbage dumped in the forest can fit into two trucks. reports the Metropolitan Forestry Office on Facebook.

It is noted that the violations were reported by state forest protection workers.

"This is not the first case of such littering of the forest by violators. Over the past year, together with the law enforcement officers, more than 70 cases of forest pollution have been established," the report says.

The press service called on Ukrainians to be careful with nature and not to throw garbage in the forests. Foresters constantly conduct educational work among the population regarding the correct handling of waste.

"We are confident that today's incident will serve as a lesson for the violator and other unaware citizens," the message reads.
