Deputies of the Kremenchuk City Council voted to attract an investment grant to install a solar power plant at the Kremenchukvodokanal utility company.
The grant will be provided by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the press service of the Kremenchuk City Council reports.
It is noted that the project involves the introduction of alternative energy sources at critical infrastructure facilities.
"The project envisages the construction of a solar station with grant funds in the amount of up to 100,000 euros," said the details in "Kremenchuk operative".
In the material, it was emphasized that, according to preliminary estimates, the pumping station of the water utility will be equipped with a HPS with a capacity of 120 kW. This will save 147,744 MWh of electricity and more than 1.7 million hryvnias in paying bills every year.
It is noted that, in addition to reducing electricity consumption, the load on the power grid and the community budget, the SPP will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Zhmeryntsi, Vinnytsia region, the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 70.4 kWh at the main pumping station of the utility company "Zhmerinkavodokanal" is being completed.
As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Mukachevo, in Zakarpattia Oblast, a water intake station was equipped with 20 kW solar panels. In clear weather, the SPP fully ensures its operation.
