The press service said that experts also took samples for laboratory analysis of the water. They were sealed by law enforcement officers for authenticity.

The report added that the condition of the reservoir has improved thanks to the use of the Ecolan-M sorbent. Such special agents are used to clean soils and natural water bodies from oil products.

"The investigation of the incident by law enforcement agencies is ongoing," the press service emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in late February, oil products were dumped into Lake Kyrylivske in Kyiv's Obolon district, forming a large oily slick on its surface. According to preliminary data, the oil products entered through the Syrets River.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, a fire in Kyiv's Osokorky Ecopark, which occurred in the evening of March 5, destroyed 7% of the natural floodplain vegetation in the wet meadows of the Osokorkivski Luki local nature reserve. The area of the burned vegetation in four fire centers reached 10.4 hectares.
