Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko may be involved in a corruption scheme

The Kyiv City Council leased 1.3 hectares of Obolon Park "Natalka" to "HYVEXHAUS" LLC for 10 years.

People's deputy Maryana Bezugla wrote about this on her Facebook page, stating that they want to build a road through the park and build a parking lot on its territory.

"Natalka Park is a green area for recreation, not a park of amusements, roads and parking lots," the member of parliament emphasized.

She said that the rent will reach 22 thousand hryvnias per month.

Bezugla suggested that Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko may be involved in a corruption scheme regarding the lease of the park.

She also noted that she turned to the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau to conduct an investigation into possible actions related to corruption. She also plans to contact the Prosecutor General's Office.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kyiv, employees of NABU, SAP and KMDA prevented the illegal transfer to private property of Obolonsky Island with an area of 147.7 thousand square meters, located next to Natalka Park.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, public figure Maksym Bakhmatov and Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Oleksandr Krasnolutsky held a series of meetings for rescue of the Holosiiv National Park of Kyiv and returning it to the status of recreational zones.
