Sterilization prevents the occurrence of many diseases and helps to regulate the number of homeless animals

In Kyiv, pensioners will be able to sterilize pets for free in three city veterinary clinics.

Such an initiative is implemented thanks to cooperation with the Happy Paw charity fund, KMDA reports on Facebook.

The message emphasized that initially it was planned to conduct 30 free operations until World Animal Protection Day, however, due to the significant demand for the service and cooperation with animal rights activists, doctors decided to increase the number of such sterilizations.

People of retirement age will be able to take advantage of the opportunity from October 17.

The operation will be performed by appointment in each of the three clinics:

  • Darnytsky District Hospital, st. Armenian, 29;
  • Hospital of Desnyan district, str. Elektrotechnichna, 5-A;
  • Podilsky district hospital, str. Yaroslavska, 13.

Appointments for sterilization will be made daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by phone number: 097 563 92 79.

Sterilization prevents the occurrence of many diseases in animals and is almost the most effective tool for solving the problem of homeless animals.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, animal rights activists urged Ukrainians to take care of their pets during their stay in the shelter, namely collect alarm suitcases for animals.
