Wind-generating trees that can catch any wind are invented in France

The technology will avoid emissions of 864 kg of coal per year

The French company New World Wind has created a wind farm resembling a tree with leaves, which is able to capture the weakest and most turbulent winds.

The company produces 3 types of such wind turbines: "bushes", "trees" and hybrid models with solar panels, which have a power from 300 W to 10 kW, the website New World Wind reports.

The wind turbine consists of 3-5 trunks and steel branches on which 18 to 30 airfoils are attached.

Such trees can be used in cities and in the natural environment. After all, their rotation is silent thanks to the direct drive mechanism and is specially adapted for catching the weakest and most turbulent winds. A tree needs about 11 meters of space.

The wind farm of the New World Wind company can provide 83% of the energy needs of a French household, or the operation of 15 street lights, or charge an electric car for 16,364 km.

The use of such technology will avoid emissions of 864 kg of coal or 600 liters of fuel per year.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the company Flower Turbines BV creates small vertical wind turbines that look like tulips, using new ideas in aerodynamics that produce minimal noise and are suitable for urban conditions. Such turbines do not pose a danger to birds and animals.
