Benefactors can pay for a symbolic square meter of a stable for horses or one brick

Musicians from the well-known hard rock band Lordi have supported Ukrainian animal rights activists and called for help to save animals affected by the war.

They also called for support for a fundraiser to build the Pegasus shelter in the Dnipro region, where they plan to build a hospital for horse treatment, UAnimals reports on Facebook.

It is noted that such a hospital will allow treating horses affected by the war directly in the shelter. This will make life easier for both animals and people who care for them.

"Ukraine is currently fighting for its freedom and we support this beautiful country! People are not the only ones who suffer. Innocent animals also suffer. Our friends at UAnimals are doing extremely important things, helping animals and rescuing them during war," he said. Lordi vocalist Tomi Putaansuu.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in Gostomel, Kyiv region, the occupiers burnt down a stable with animals in the Oleksandriya equestrian sports center. Most of the 32 horses were burned alive.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in January 2023, one of the seven horses evacuated by animal rights activists from the front-line town of Vugledar, in Donetsk region, died from stress and exhaustion barely reaching Kyiv.
