The first-ever supply of Ukrainian biogas abroad took place a few days earlier, on February 6.

On February 11, the company, a member of the MHP agricultural holding, exported the first batch of biomethane to Germany.

This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the Public Union Global 100% RE Ukraine.

The volume of the first shipment amounted to 27.4 thousand cubic meters of gas.

According to the Public Union, MHP exported biomethane through gas pipelines across the Ukrainian-Polish border. Its buyer was Vitol.

Interfax-Ukraine also reminded that MHP's biomethane plant Oril-Leader in the Dnipro region has recently been connected to the gas transmission network. Its capacity is 11 million cubic meters per year. It runs on chicken manure and waste from the broiler processing complex.

As a reminder, EcoPolitic recently reported that the Ukrainian company Vitagro became the first domestic producer to export biomethane to Europe. A test delivery was also made to Germany, but the volume was larger – 68 thousand cubic meters of gas.

In October 2024, the first Ukrainian biomethane began to enter the domestic gas transportation system.
