This granite will be used to construct Russian roads

Near Mariupol, the occupiers began to extract granite and send it to the territory of Russia and in the direction of Crimea.

Six blasts have already been carried out in the quarries of the villages of Karan, Kalchik and Aslanovo, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, reported in Telegram.

"Not with grain and sunflowers. The occupiers began to steal our granite," he wrote.

Andryushchenko emphasized that this granite will be used to build Russian roads.

He noted that the occupiers allegedly planned to use demolished houses and other construction debris to build roads. However, "all talk remained talk".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Mariupol district, the Russian occupiers plan to resume kaolin mining, as well as start zirconium mining. Mining of zirconium near the village of Nikolske was part of the plans of the "Yanukovych family". However, they were thwarted by the Revolution of Dignity and numerous protests. The consequences of such extraction will be critical for ecology.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in occupied Mariupol, the riverbed of the Kalchika River was completely covered with slag in the area of the destroyed bridge on Kuindzhi Street. Earlier, the occupiers filled Kalchyk near the Extreme Park, and the water pipe was routed through a pipe.
