Residents of Dnipro complain about the difficult situation with garbage removal and mass spontaneous landfills.

Containers for waste collection are overflowing, and garbage is occupying new territories, in particular around playgrounds, reports Dnipro Operative on Telegram.

Previously, the community was told that there is only one carrier working in the city that collects and transports waste, "Ekologia-D". The company emphasized the critical shortage of personnel, namely drivers.

"We understand that the lack of labor resources is a problem that affects all spheres of activity," the message says. – Try to announce a tender, etc. Living in a landfill is definitely not what the residents of Dnipro chose."

Previously, the Dniprovsk City Council reported that 41 spontaneous landfills were cleaned during June-October. 110 m3 of waste was removed from them.

"Such landfills are dangerous for people and the environment as a whole. Therefore, I emphasize to Dnipro residents: treat garbage disposal responsibly," said city duty officer Yaroslav Krysko, deputy director of the environmental policy department – head of the environmental protection department of the DMR.
